Pilates Teacher Training

The Pad Studios is excited to once again offer our Pilates Teacher Training Program with Senior Instructors, Kathleen Carruthers and Becca Schneider. The Pad Studios Pilates Teacher Training Program is a comprehensive program for aspiring teachers who meet minimum requirements for enrollment. The program has an emphasis on holistic teaching and creating a well-rounded, innovative instructor who is ready to turn their love of Pilates into a successful career.

Hands-on learning is a key component to this program. Trainees will have the opportunity to work closely with Becca and Kathleen to not only learn the individual exercises but become dynamic, motivating and effective instructors. This supportive, positive environment allows for a deeper understanding of the Pilates method and provides a place to grow your own practice. It is one of the only programs of its kind to include a mentor relationship with a senior instructor, as well as the opportunity to continue into an apprentice program, teaching at The Pad. The comprehensive manuals, lectures and workshops will give you the tools you need to become an excellent teacher and create a thriving Pilates business.

The Teacher Training Program includes:
– Formal Lecture Weekends
– Unlimited Self Practice
– Unlimited Email Support from Becca and Kathleen – Observation hours
– The Pad Teaching Manual and Workbook (not included BASI Exercise Manuals, Pilates Anatomy Book and Return to Life)

Program Requirements – 500 Hours:
80 hours of Classroom Time – Lectures and Workshops
20 hours of Mentorship Time- Work one-on-one with Becca and Kathleen to improve teaching skills and details of the work
100 Hours of Self Practice – Mat, Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, Chair and Barrels
60 Hours of Observation
200 Hours of Practice Teaching
30 Hours of Practice Group Teaching
10 Hours of Anatomy

Program Schedule:
All formal lectures will be held on specific weekends from 12pm-5pm. The remaining hours can be completed based on personal availability. There will be scheduled group practice workshops based on everyone’s availability. Becca and Kathleen will help trainees with time management to ensure they stay on track.

Program Fees:
Base Tuition: $4500
20 Private Mentorship Hours: $2000 ($100/hr)
Books and Materials: approx. $325
