Paula Pavlova is a writer, artist, and passionate advocate for wellness on and off the mat. She found yoga as a lost teenager at a boarding school outside of Washington DC and credits the practice to much of the healing she has found in life.
From the moment she stepped on her yoga mat at the ripe age of 16, Paula knew she was meant to dedicate her life to sharing it. Her classes are a blend of soothing and challenging asana with a focus on the spiritual connection between the two. She has a huge passion for music, philosophy, simple mindfulness and wellness practices, public health policy, and encourages practicing yoga beyond the mat via community engagement, connection, civic participation, and meaningful self reflection.
Paula began her journey sharing yoga after completing her 200 hour training in Bali in 2013 then went on to study under Gigi Snyder in Los Angeles at YogaWorks professional 500 hour program in 2015 after which she moved to San Francisco. Since then, she has traveled all over the world to continue to practice, teach, lead and participate in yoga and mindfulness classes, workshops, and curated festivals around the world. Paula is particularly passionate about supporting young health and wellness entrepreneurs and does so as a LP with The Council. She is also currently on track to complete her Masters in Science at UC Law/USCF’s joint program in Health Policy & Law and is committed to bridging the gap between alternative and traditional medicine systemically.
