REBOOT: Friday Night Yoga & Live DJ

Join Nicole Cronin and DJ Ryan Lucero for a dynamic, memorable, sweaty and fun Friday evening. Invite friends, embrace the moment, and come out transformed. This class is very dimly lit, full of sound and movement, and a community experience.

Nicole is one of The Pad’s founders, and Ryan is her partner and one of the top DJs in the world. This is a great opportunity to experience a party vibe without alcohol. We welcome everyone to join and bring your favorite people. We offer these only occasionally, and they are always special and unrepeatable.

An Exploration of The Bhagavad Gīta

The Bhagavad Gīta is a sacred Hindu text that is often studied by yoga practitioners because of its many references to yoga. This workshop will explore the yoga themes within the text through the lens of Yogasūtra: we will look for themes from the yogasūtra and note how they are presented differently through the lens of this Hindu text, and discuss how we can apply these ancient lessons to our everyday lives in a practical manner.
We will use Eknath Eswaran’s translation of the Bhagavad Gīta – reading beforehand will help you gain the most from this intensive, but not required. Some understanding of The Yogasūtra of Patañjali is also helpful but not required. Open to all levels.

An Introduction to Yoga Philosophy

This intensive will introduce the six philosophical schools of India, called darśana-s, that include both yoga philosophy (which was codified in the Yogasūtra of Patañjali) and advaita vedanta (which evolved into modern-day Hinduism). We will primarily focus on an introduction to yoga philosophy as a means to help us reduce our experience of suffering and feel better in every day life, while also exploring the differences between yoga philosophy and Hinduism, and how these two distinct philosophical systems have become confused and enmeshed over time.
It is appropriate for yoga enthusiasts of all levels and will include both lecture and discussion.
