The Pad Studios is excited to announce our Yoga Basics Workshop!

Join Miwa Tripp on Saturday, February 4, 2:00-3:30pm for our yoga basics workshop!

In this 90 minute workshop, we will explore some of the basic postures and break down the physical aspect of power yoga vinyasa flow. This workshop is intended for people new to yoga or for practicing students who are looking for an environment where the basic postures will be revisited slowly and thoughtfully. Students will gain a basic understanding of safe alignment and will be ready to enter all level power yoga classes upon completion. Yoga is appropriate for men and women of all ages and fitness levels. Not flexible? No worries. The only prerequisite is the willingness to show up with an open mind. Increased strength, flexibility and balance will be your reward!

We are now offering more midday classes, ideal for busy moms!

We now offer classes at:

  • Monday, 1:30pm
  • Tuesday, 12:30pm
  • Thursday, 12:30pm
  • Friday, 1:30pm (with available Child Care!)

Prenatal Yoga

Join Becca Schneider for an amazing Prenatal Workshop and learn how to modify your yoga practice to keep you safe and engaged in public group classes!

In this workshop…

You will learn:

  • The anatomy and physiology of pregnancy
  • How to modify your current yoga practice to accommodate a changing body
  • How to use yoga to create support and balance throughout your pregnancy, including appropriate breathing and what type of breathing to avoid
  • What postures and flow series will be most effective in supporting a pregnant body
  • Why yoga, and other forms of movement, are so important during pregnancy
  • What is happening to your body, and why it is important to get in shape or maintain fitness in preparation for your childbirth
  • Helpful natural tips to help relieve some of the discomforts associated with pregnancy

You will receive:

  • A take home package for a beneficial flow routine for those days you don’t feel like heading to the studio
  • Useful information to apply towards your current and future yoga practice, for the duration of your pregnancy as well as your recovery
  • The knowledge that will empower you to maintain a safe and heart-filled practice throughout your pregnancy
  • 10% discount on standard priced private yoga classes, 10% off standard priced prenatal pilates classes

You will participate in:

  • A 30 minute conversation during which you may feel free to ask any questions or voice any concerns about pregnancy in general or regarding your yoga practice specifically
  • A 1-hour yoga class where all the new modifications and information will be put to use. The practice will help your baby grow with the devotion, protection and nourishment of yoga along the way.

Serenity Yoga Teacher Training at The Pad!

Serenity Yoga hosts its first San Francisco teacher training
to be held at The Pad Studios!

Whether you are interested in deepening your practice, or you feel the call to teach, the Serenity Yoga Teacher Training Program is committed to the personal success of each participant.   We offer an excellent, no-nonsense approach that will prepare students to lead safe and balanced hatha yoga classes, for the beginner through advanced level student.   Students will acquire the confidence to communicate the practice of yoga to others with the highest level of skill while honoring their own unique voice and style.

The course provides an in-depth mentoring experience that is enriching and transformative.  Participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills with supervised personal attention at a comfortable pace in a supportive atmosphere.

This program is for the aspiring yoga teacher, anyone in transition, looking for direction, or simply looking for a deeper understanding of yoga.

The style we teach is a dynamic and intelligent flow which can easily be adapted to different levels and different tempos.  At the end of the training you will be qualified to teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga.
