The Bhagavad Gīta is a sacred Hindu text that is often studied by yoga practitioners because of its many references to yoga. This workshop will explore the yoga themes within the text through the lens of Yogasūtra: we will look for themes from the yogasūtra and note how they are presented differently through the lens of this Hindu text, and discuss how we can apply these ancient lessons to our everyday lives in a practical manner.
We will use Eknath Eswaran’s translation of the Bhagavad Gīta – reading beforehand will help you gain the most from this intensive, but not required. Some understanding of The Yogasūtra of Patañjali is also helpful but not required. Open to all levels.
