In this workshop…
You will learn:
- The anatomy and physiology of pregnancy
- How to modify your current yoga practice to accommodate a changing body
- How to use yoga to create support and balance throughout your pregnancy, including appropriate breathing and what type of breathing to avoid
- What postures and flow series will be most effective in supporting a pregnant body
- Why yoga, and other forms of movement, are so important during pregnancy
- What is happening to your body, and why it is important to get in shape or maintain fitness in preparation for your childbirth
- Helpful natural tips to help relieve some of the discomforts associated with pregnancy
You will receive:
- A take home package for a beneficial flow routine for those days you don’t feel like heading to the studio
- Useful information to apply towards your current and future yoga practice, for the duration of your pregnancy as well as your recovery
- The knowledge that will empower you to maintain a safe and heart-filled practice throughout your pregnancy
- 10% discount on standard priced private yoga classes, 10% off standard priced prenatal pilates classes
You will participate in:
- A 30 minute conversation during which you may feel free to ask any questions or voice any concerns about pregnancy in general or regarding your yoga practice specifically
- A 1-hour yoga class where all the new modifications and information will be put to use. The practice will help your baby grow with the devotion, protection and nourishment of yoga along the way.
